Fernando Rivas Corral naci\u00f3 en Granada, en 1977. Es licenciado en Ciencias de la Actividad F\u00edsica y el Deporte y ha pasado per\u00edodos de estudios en Alemania, Holanda, Francia e Inglaterra, hasta completar su doctorado: ‘An\u00e1lisis del rendimiento del b\u00e1dminton masculino y femenino del alto nivel’.<\/p>\n

Tras descubrir otros deportes, en su infancia descubre el b\u00e1dminton y comienza a practicarlo de manera habitual. Con 19 a\u00f1os, ya en la universidad, da sus primeros pasos como entrenador. En 2004, pasa a formar parte de la Federaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de B\u00e1dminton.<\/p>\n

Ser\u00eda unos a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s (en 2007), cuando su camino quedar\u00eda ligado al de una ni\u00f1a onubense llamada Carolina Mar\u00edn, que se incorpor\u00f3 al Centro de Alto Rendimiento de Madrid para seguir su evoluci\u00f3n como jugadora.<\/p>\n

En los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de Pek\u00edn, a los que acudi\u00f3 como seleccionador espa\u00f1ol, se fij\u00f3 el objetivo de que el himno espa\u00f1ol sonase en una final de b\u00e1dminton y propuso un plan a la federaci\u00f3n que comenz\u00f3 a aplicar con Carolina, entre otros jugadores. Desde entonces, los \u00e9xitos de Carolina Mar\u00edn (Oro en R\u00edo 2016, 3 Mundiales y 6 Europeos) y del b\u00e1dminton espa\u00f1ol est\u00e1n ligados a su m\u00e9todo de trabajo. Del mismo modo, el b\u00e1dminton espa\u00f1ol tambi\u00e9n ha crecido gracias a su trabajo: desde su llegada, se pas\u00f3 de 0 a 26 medallas en competiciones internacionales.<\/p>\n

Su visi\u00f3n multidisciplinar del deporte y su obsesi\u00f3n por el aprendizaje continuo le ha llevado a aplicar m\u00e9todos de entrenamiento adaptados de otras disciplinas, no s\u00f3lo deportivas. As\u00ed, la direcci\u00f3n de equipo ya no est\u00e1 enfocada s\u00f3lo hacia el deportista, sino hacia la sincronizaci\u00f3n de cada uno de los profesionales que componen el equipo. As\u00ed, cada uno aporta, desde su \u00e1rea, un valor a\u00f1adido al proceso para que el deportista reciba una preparaci\u00f3n a medida. Esto permite alcanzar objetivos concretos, tanto de resultados como de rendimiento, de forma m\u00e1s eficiente.<\/p>\n
